Hello and Welcome! Here is what you're bidding on: TITLE and ARTIST: "Aretha Now and Lady Soul" by Aretha Franklin on the Atlantic/Mobile Fidelity Gold Compact Disc label. CONDITION: JEWEL CASE: Original MFSL single disc "flip up" jewel case with original inserts front and back - including 16 page front foldout insert filled with original notes and photos for each album - all in excellent condition (Note: the jewel box is original and shows light wear; the inserts are close to like new). DISC: Spectacular 24k Gold-Plated Disc shows some light marks, yet it plays perfectly. ALL MUSIC GUIDE RATING: 4 (Out of 5 Stars). ALL MUSIC GUIDE COMMENTARY: "Mobile Fidelity reissued two of Aretha Franklin's best albums, Aretha Now and Lady Soul, on one gold CD. Although these are two classic records, only hardcore Aretha fans will need to acquire this disc, since the disc carries such a high retail price. Granted, Mobile Fidelity's remastering is very good, but the remastering on the individual CD reissues nearly matches it, and those are available for considerably less money. Audiophiles will prefer this version, and they'll gladly play the steep ticket price, but most fans will be satisfied with either the remastered CD versions of the individual albums or the box set." One more time I must disagree with AMG. The chance to have these two warmly and skillfully remastered classics on one disc is well worth the investment, especially if you love "Lady Soul" the way I do.
