Art Deco Danish silver plate christening wedding cake knife |
This lovely piece is in very good condition.
The knife is marked to the side with the Danish quality torch mark used from 1932. The maker's mark appears to be that of Brynje or Tocla.
The silver plate is bright and shiny and shows no wear. There are very fine scratches from use. The stainless steel blade is bright and shiny. It reads Raadvad Rustfri for stainless steel. There are a few fine scratches from use.
The knife would be very suitable to use at a Wedding or Christening to cut the cake.
The knife is 280mm long.
For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
