Vintage gold tone rhinestone and pearl butterfly brooch |
This pretty brooch is in very good condition.
The brooch is in the form of a butterfly and is studded with sparkling white and turquoise rhinestones. The central body is a row of faux pearls and there are two tiny turquoise eyes. The setting has decorative tooling which adds to the appeal of the piece.
There is no damage to the brooch and no repairs. The gold setting is bright and has no corrosion. The back of the brooch has dulled a little. The rhinestones are bright and there are no dull or damaged stones.
The clasp is a roll over locking type and works well. The pin is straight and secure in its hinge.
The brooch is 40mm x 34mm.
For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
