This auction is for a large Folio Bible Leaf from the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER located at the front of the Authentique Corrected CAMBRIDGE BIBLE, revised Mandato Regio printed by Thomas Buck and Roger Daniel in 1638 at the University of Cambridge. This contains what is known as the Epistle Dedicatory to Prince James(King James)! There is text on the verso to the bottom of the page. It is complete. This is considered by Bible collectors as an important edition. It was the standard text used until 1762!! This leaf measures about 10" X 16" and is RULED IN RED!! This was done for the wealthy by a scribe.This leaf is in good condition with a bit of marginal browning and quite attractive, suitable for framing. This contains what is known as the Epistle Dedicatory to Prince James(King James)! There is text on the verso to the bottom of the page. It is complete. Measures about 10" X 15" with some minor outer marginal browning, an attractive leaf! Specific verses available for a premium.
