THIS HAS A WOOD CHESS BOARD THAT MEASURES 12" x 12" and 1/2" THICK. CHESS PIECES ARE HARD PLASTIC AND STAND ABOUT 1" to 2" tall. INSTRUCTION BOOK SHOWS WHERE THE PIECES ARE PLACED ON THE BOARD. A BRIEF INTRODUCTION. THE JOB OF EACH PIECE. THE NOTATION. TECHNICAL TERMS. THE LAWS OF CHESS. OPENINGS. PROBLEMS and more. The box is in used shape with some tearing and wear.
