Visconti's retail price for this limited edition Taj Mahal fountain pen was $2495.00 USD when released.  This limited edition fountain pen is now completely sold out and is no longer in production by Visconti.

This limited edition Visconti Taj Mahal writing instrument, produced in Florence Italy, is new and unused.  The Visconti Taj Mahal's cap and barrel have been crafted from plant resins; the color is deep black.  The ends of the cap and barrel are stylized with the profile of the Taj Mahal dome, which Mark Twain described as "a marble bubble going up to the sky" and is a symbol of perfection and purity.  The silver filigrees have been hand produced according to Indian techniques.  The Taj Mahal's edition number appears at the base of the pen's barrel.   The pen has a fantastic two-toned 18-KT gold Visconti nib, which is medium in size.  The Visconti Taj Mahal fountain pen utilizes Visconti's High Power Vacuum Filler system and can be filled from a bottle or an inkwell.
