What are Uncleaned Ancient coins?
2000 years ago in the time of the Romans there were no banks and people simply buried their savings in or near their homes, or in the cases of soldiers, before they went off to battle.
These dirty coins have remained buried since that time until technology in deep metal detection has made their discovery economically feasible.
What types of coins could I expect to find?
The majority of these coins will be bronze from the 100 to 300AD , but also there will be some Greek dating to 300 BC or earlier and also some trachy (cup coins) from the Byzantine empire of a thousand years ago, you just never know!
Not all uncleaned coins will reveal results. After all, many are so dirty that there is no hint of what may lie under the soil.

These coins make a great educational project for the beginning collector and family. You will soon find yourself quickly immersed in history and wanting to discover more about the men and women whose images are stuck on the coins. You will even learn a bit of Latin!
No unproven claims of GOLD COINS to bait you into buying
99.99% of claims of gold found are just marketing tools, with no visual proof or confirmation by an ancient coin dealer. A recent poll of some of the repectible sellers found only one case of a confirmed gold coin being found in a lot a few years back.
Many new people are fooled by some of the heavier brass coins.
I do my best to remove the junk
All broken or holed coins are removed, and I make every effort to go through and identify the obvious blank slugs and toss them into the junk box. Of course some coins are so dirty that you cannot tell whats under the dirt, that is part of discovery.
