Up for auction is this cute Antique T. Cohn Tin Type Sandbox Toy Sand Boat With Shovel In Original Box. This metal piece Sand Boat measures 10-inches long by 6-1/4 inches wide by 2-5/8 inches tall and comes in its original box. The Shovel measures 8-inches long. It has a picture of the captain with his head out through the porthole and on his hat: “Flying Spray”, and on the end of the boat (stern) the painted decal: “T. Cohn Made In U. S. A.”.. The Box is labeled “No. 15 Sand Boat t. Cohn Inc. 200 Fifth Avenue, N.Y.”;  “It floats in water.”;   “In can be pulled over sand as a sand sled.”;  “It can be used as a sand sieve”;  “It can be used as a sand pail with cabin designed as a handle.”. I tried to do some research on age but came up empty handed. It has an address but no zip code so it has to be before the zip codes.  It is in good condition (condition commensurate with age) with no damage. Looks like it might have been used very little due to that had it not had tiny paint loss mostly on the top red part of the boat it would be almost like new. I do believe the age is somewhere from the 40s to 50s. It sure is darn unique and cute and not many around with its box. Please see my other collectibles items up for auction.
