Super RARE 1897 Mark Twain "Following The Equator" Salesman Sample Dummy Book Hard Cover

Book is in very good condition for its age. It does show some wear(please refer to pictures). This book is a TRUE salesman Sample Book, also refered to as a Dummy, due to the fact that a very limited amount of these were printed strictly for the door to door salesman. These were the True first editions. This book includes 2 binding samples, descriptions of the bindings and Illustrations, not included in the final, mass produced product. This book includes an illustration that was not used in the final Print. This book also includes an order form in the back of the book with signatures from actual customers. The binding is still very tight, but one page, the Mark Twain Photo/Signature Page, has come out (pictured). This would be an Excellent addition to any True antique, or Mark Twain Collector. Please look at the pictures for condition. If you have any questions, just ask.
