This auction is for a great original pair of binoculars with the leather case made by the U.S. Naval Gun Factory Annex Optical Shop in Rochester NY. I think they are considered French style because of the shape.The binoculars are in excellent condition for their age. The reddish dimpled surface covering is in great condition, and there is very minimal corrosion on the metal surfaces which I assume is brass.They adjust fine, but are a little stiff and the optics could stand cleaning. They measure 5 1/4" retracted and 6" with the shade covers extended. The leather case is decent with a couple of areas of damage but still nice. The case is marked on the top flap as shown in the pics. The glasses are marked on the adjustment bar U.S. Naval Gun Factory Annex Optical Shop one one side and the opposite side reads United States Navy Flint Glass 3 power.Please ask any questions you may have ASAP! I really don`t know much about these glasses other than they are early and in excellent condition.
