This auction is for a hand-carved wooden Snoopy lamp, about 15" tall (excluding hardware).  Snoopy is wearing his WWI Flying Ace gear - yellow scarf, red hat, brown goggles.   

This has an interesting history.  The man I purchased it from told me that it was made for him when he was a child(I'm guessing in the 50s or 60s) by a prisoner.  His father was a prison warden and had this made in the woodworking shop for his son.

The wood has a few scuffs and scrapes but no cracks or deep chips.  The lamp does work; of course the wiring is old and so I must recommend that you have it rewired for safety's sake, but at this point it does light up just fine.  Unpacked weight is just under 4 pounds.
