 For auction is the book Jaenisch Chess Preceptor by George Walker. Jaenisch, a Russian Master, was considered one of the top Opening Analyst and in 1847 George Walker translated Jaenisch classic work from French and Russian. This  first edition hardbound has the original boards and book tape is in the spine to reinforce the boards. the boards are rubbed and soiled. The binding is still very good and the pages are only slightly yellowed from age. Enjoy this rare piece of chess history.
