This is a finely detailed die-cast model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb from Maisto's Tailwinds Collection.

New in box and factory sealed. It comes with a stand and is 4 " long,4 3/4" wide and 1" tall (without stand, setting on it's landing gear).
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force and many other allied countries from WW II until the 1950s. It was produced in greater numbers than any other Allied design. The Spitfire was the only Allied fighter in production at the outbreak of the Second World War that was still in production at the end of the war.

The Spitfire was designed by R. J. Mitchell who was chief designer at Supermarine Aviation Works, a subsidiary of Vickers-Armstrongs. The basic airframe proved to be extremely adaptable, capable of taking far more powerful engines and far greater loads than its original role as a short-range interceptor had allowed for.
