  • CONDITION: The vintage lobby card in this auction is accurately depicted above. It is one of over 1,200 that we will be putting up on eBay in the next few weeks. We're not experts on grading movie memorabilia so we're not going to attempt to go into detail with anything more than an "A" "B" "C" "D". Why not? We haven't the time for one thing, and besides, if you win this card and are dissatisfied with it for ANY REASON whatsoever, just return it for a full refund, That is our ironclad guarantee to you! We can't reimburse your postage, but we will refund the full price that you paid.
  • Fair enough? Now on to the provenance and some exciting news! If you're a serious film buff collector you need to take the time to read the following.

    "THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY"

  • PROVENANCE: On June 4, 2007 Bonhams Los Angeles, held the: "Sale 15284 - Entertainment Memorabilia including Property from the Estate of Carl Barks" auction. We attended that auction and were successful in acquiring over 1,200 lobby cards and 500 one-sheet movie posters from the 1930's -- 1970's, along with a good assortment of Carl Barks' art and other items. Our one disappointment was that our $160,000.00 bid for the Barks oil painting: "Hands Off My Playthings" came in second best (went for $170K), but other than that we're thrilled at our other acquisitions! We bought them right, eBay partners -- and now we can sell them right (for the most part) with NO RESERVES and low starting bids.

  • So. . . with 1,700 Movie Memorabilia auctions to get up on eBay this month, there's just no way we can adequately grade and describe each card or poster. Most items will start off with $10.00 opening bids regardless of their value. If you want to have some GREAT FUN check out our auctions regularly! You just may win some real gems for rhinestone prices! We were told that all of the movie memorabilia came from the estate of a private collector and has not been offered for sale before. There will be little rhyme or reason to how we list these cards and posters, as we're just scanning stacks and putting'em up as fast as we can! Excuse the pun, but this will truly be an auction run of "THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY!"
