Movie description
The comic story of an alien, H-1449-6 (Shandling, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW), sent to Earth to impregnate a human woman as part of a fiendish plot to conquer the Universe. Assuming the identity of Harold Anderson, he attempts to blend into human society (Phoenix, AZ to be exact) and begin his search for a mate. However, coming from a planet with no women and armed with a handful of inept pick-up lines and an automated reproductive unit (which emits a loud hum at the slightest titillation), he's rather ill equipped for the task at hand. But with the assistance of a philandering co-worker (Kinnear, AS GOOD AS IT GETS), Harold sets his sights on the beautiful, slightly flaky real-estate agent Susan Hart (Bening, AMERICAN BEAUTY), and sparks begin to fly in this hilarious battle of the sexes from the director of THE GRADUATE.

What Planet Are You From - VHS

To save his planet of men, an alien (Garry Shandling) is sent to earth to procreate with a women. But he's worlds away from understanding the opposite sex. Once on earth, he assumes his human identity as Harold Anderson, star loan officer. Harold's armed with dating lessons from his home planet, but the only thing he's courting is disaster.

As he hits on every female in sight, he runs into one technical difficulty... his "member" buzzes when he's aroused. On top of that, his pick-up lines are bad, his social skills are worse and his mating chances are slim to none. Mix in a suspicious FAA official (John Goodman) who's on his heels, and an underhanded co-worker (Greg Kinnear) who's on his back, and Harold's mission seems next to impossible. Until he meets Ms. Right (Annette Bening).

Now, an extraterrestrial and a human tie the knot, and unravel the universe. Through it all, Harold's dating game adventures are geared toward one intergalactic goal: scoring.

Also starring Ben Kingsley and Linda Fiorentino.

It is a previous rental in great condition. This movie is in color and is 107 minutes long, and is rated R.
