Brand: Kestrel  
This is a new Kestrel 1000 Wind Meter.  It measures wind speed and will give you 3 choices to view - highest gust, average wind speed, and current wind speed.  The unit has a 5 year warranty on it and is rugged, waterproof and will float, and has a replaceable impeller that requires now tools to replace.

The unit comes with a hard shell cover to protect the screen and a lanyard to wear around your neck. 

The unit operates on 1 CR2032 battery which will give you approximately 300 hours of use before needing to be changed. 

Something other meters don't have are a Certificate of Conformity which states the meter has been tested and calibrated by the Kestrel.
