Synopsis
Thirteen-year-old Nita's life is forever changed when she discovers an incredible library book that transforms her from the constant target of bullies to a practicing wizard. They begin to practice spells together, and soon find themselves on a dangerous mission--involving a terrifying New York City, devoid of life except for vicious helicopters, bloodthirsty cabs, and the like--to rescue the Book of Night with Moon, an ancient book that holds the key to preserving the universe. This is the first book in the engaging Young Wizards series.
Thirteen-year-old Nita, tormented by a gang of bullies because she won't fight back, finds the help she needs in a library book on wizardry which guides her into another dimension.
