I hand carry all items I sell to the post office and include a delivery confirmation number you can track on line. I also wrap each book, pad it with bubble wrap or paper, and ship it in a box, not an envelope. I do not use tape to bind inner packing because tape can cause damage when buyer opens the box.   Volumes contain the classic Folio Society features:

SEE BOLD for particulars OF THIS EXACT ITEM. I rank as follows:   MINT OR MINT-D: Book is exactly as received from publisher. MINT copies are flawless. MINT-D books have a publisher’s defect. In the case of Easton Press books, defects I have seen are 1) an ill-sewn corner or 2) a scratch or depression in the page gilding. These defects are rare, but if a MINT book I am selling has one, I always report it. However, I will not take responsibility for MINT-D defects and will not accept a return of a MINT-D book unless I am at fault in not reporting it in the book description.   LIKE NEW: Book is in perfect condition but may not be in "unread' condition (which is no recommendation to my mind - books are intended to be read), OR MAY HAVE SOME OTHER RELATIVELY INSIGNIFICANT FLAW.     FINE: Slipcase is in excellent condition but has EXTREMELY MINOR shelf-wear: a couple of light scratches - not noticable   VERY GOOD: Book has sustained some damage but can be displayed. Books with bookplates, even if otherwise LIKE NEW I rank as VERY GOOD.   READING: Book is a good reading copy, in excellent condition for its age. It may have several minor flaws: fading, shelf wear, scratches, bookplates, binding not mint-tight. I report these flaws accurately.   ETHICS: I NEVER KNOWINGLY UNDER OR OVER-STATE THE CONDITIONS OF ANY BOOK.   I avoid recirculating books with attached bookplates, but sometimes they are hidden in lot purchases. I will always disclose the presence of a bookplate.   I store all books upright in a climate-controlled environment.   I strive for a 5-star rating on every item I sell.   I simply do not sell ANY Easton Press, Folio Society or other Collector’s edition that has a torn binding, odors, warping or water/grease/fire damage.
