…About mid 1998 Lionel began re-introducing the many great operating accessories that helped make the LIONEL name famous. Most of the reissues are not only fun… they actually work better and have improvements (thanks to 2000 era technology)…. Now Lionel has reissued some of it most most famous log and coal dump cars with classic features and heavy die cast metal. First, don’t you remember these great cars – position them over the remote control track, energize the magnet, and watch the logs or coal dump out. Wonder how many tons of Lionel coal and feet of Lionel lumber were dumped from these cars during the 40s, 50s and 60s. This is the first time Lionel has manufactured these cars in almost 40 years.

You are bidding on the Westside Lumber Company Log Dump Car, Lionel item # 36764. True to the original design, the car has a sturdy die-cast metal frame, die-cast metal couplers, and metal trucks. These cars are a perfect complement to the coaling and logging accessories. The best feature of course is the realistic dumping action and the set includes a trackside tray to catch the coal or lumber load.

Operation is a breeze. Just position the car over the remote control track (either O or O27, not included), press the button, and the car dumps its load. For you Command Control operators, the Operating Track Controller 14185, available separately from Lionel, allows Command Control operation.
