SERVICE TIP

This thermal fuse is a safety device that is designed to prevent a house fire. If it blows it is usually because of restricted air flow through the dryer, which can cause a fire. This is usually due to lint clogging the dryer vent or a kinked vent hose, but can be caused by other problems as well.

Replacing the fuse without removing the restriction to air flow will only cause the fuse to blow again.

This thermal fuse fits most Whirlpool and Kenmore dryers, but there are some that it doesn't fit. Send me your model# if you're not sure. I'll look it up for you.
