1975 Original CONQUEST board game w/ metal pieces RARE
Original 1975 CONQUEST Board Game
Conquest was designed to be a diceless wargame. This version contains METAL playing units and a colorful
map. Set in ancient times, Conquest has players utilizing troops,
cavalry, chariots, elephants and ships to try to capture their
opponents' fortifications or occupy the "quest" locations. The map is
designed for point-to-point movement, and play hinges on a pool of
action points that each side uses to move its different units.
Designed by Donald Benge. The box says copyright 1972, 1975 Donald Benge, Burbank, CA. There are 52 molded metal pieces, a hardboard (cardboard, GIANT sized, 17" by 22") game board, a paper game board (with one side in color, the other is identical but is black and white), puzzle book (number 1), all the paperwork that originally came with the game (even the envelope it came in with the Conquest logo), and also there are 3 copies of articles clipped from 3 different newspapers about the game and Donald Benge when the game came out.
This is an extremely rare game, especially when found with the metal pieces.
Condition: Box has signs of wear from being moved around a lot and the paper wrapper cover around the box in in fair shape, with a bit of wear too, see photos. Game inside is LIKE NEW though, WAS NEVER PLAYED!!!
