Falcons with protecting, outstretched wings were often painted
on the ceilings of tombs and over temple doorways.

The back legs hold the usual inlaid SHEN signs
which are linked to the base of the wings by inlaid Ankhs.
The Ancient Egyptian Ankhs is the original cross
and represents the imperishability symbol.
Genuine Falcon were considered to have protective properties
