The Games of the XXIII Olympics were held in Los Angeles. This set of 2 silver dollars were issued by the U.S. Mint.  Each dollar is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper.  Each comes in its original plastic container.  This set of 2 coins commemorating the 1984 Los Angeles Olympiad comes in its original velvet and satin presentation case.  It features the moving star symbol representing international athletes' pursuit of excellence and the traditional five Olympic rings representing universal brotherhood among the five continents of the world.  The red, white and blue ribbon highlights the American location of the 1984 Games.
