This is volume VI of an VIII volume set covering the Garfield and  Arthur (1881-85), Cleveland First (1885-89), Harrison (1889-93), Cleveland Second (1893-97), and McKinley (1897-1901) Administrations. 6 3/4" x 10 1/4", [1441-1757+(48 plates&maps)]-page dark blue buckram hardcover with blind-stamped borders on the boards, gilt decorations and lettering on a six raised bands spine, all edges gilt, two-page full color frontispiece "Burnside at Fredericksburg, Dec. 13, 1862" by H. A. Ogden with guard tissue in between, 4 color and 1 monochromatic plates with captioned guard tissues, 8 monochromatic plates, 2 two-page tipped in color maps, 25 full-page b/w and numerous in text illustrations. The entire book is printed on high quality, thick glossy paper. Light shelf wear and light fading of the spine gilt else clean and tight, a beautiful book.
