This is a  Vintage set of four Matchless star shape Christmas lights.

On the  bakelite backs are the words: MATCHLESS MADE IN U.S.A. PAT. PENDING.

There are two red and green lights, one clear and blue light and one blue and orange light.

The diameter of each light is 1 & 3/4".

They look to be in very nice condtion but I just don't know if they work.

Please email if you know how I can test them. I read that the 9v. battery test might burn them out.

Thanks to a very helpful fellow ebayer with expertise in this area, I can tell you that two of the lights barely light with a 9 volt battery and two lights do not. I understand that these lights can be repaired at www.theroyalstonattic.com.
