This auction is for a 1:24th scale diecast of the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 454 SS . Classic Muscle Car, 8 1/4" long, is produced in exacting detail by Franklin Mint Diecast. It is in mint condition in its original box (no paperwork).

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 was a beast of a muscle car, boasting a 450-horsepower engine. The new SS 454 package cost $503 and included a 360-bhp hydraulic-lifter 454 called the LS5. Then there was the LS6. This was the take-no-prisoners 454, with a 800-cfm Holley four-barrel on an aluminum manifold. No production engine ever had a higher factory horsepower rating.

The doors and trunk lid on this beautiful diecast Muscle Car open and close, the steering wheel engages the front road wheels, there's a functional suspension system, and the hood lifts to reveal the impressive detail of the 454 V-8 engine. The Muscle Car era never got any more "muscular" than this.

This very detailed 1/24 scale diecast model is now out of production and should make an excellent addition to your vintage "Chevelle SS" memorabilia or Franklin Mint collectibles.
