On its 2006 debut for Victory Records, the Atlanta-based hardcore act Moros Eros presents an intriguing set of songs that defy the more predictable aspects of the genre (screaming, three-chord riffs, etc.). With an edgy sound that borders on garage-rock and post-punk, the group, led by singer/guitarist Zach Tipton, seems determined to cut its own path, as revealed on the raucous, angular "Today Is the Day."
