This book includes some 1,400 actors and actresses, listed in alphabetical order. The majority of them are English, but also included are the Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Australian, Canadian, South African and many other British Common-wealth personalities.
There is also a brief description of each actor along wirh the tears of birth and death.
The films are listed chronologically, with the emphasis on the sound era. Silent films will also be mentioned, but actors whose careers only covered the silent era have been omitted.
