This beautiful daisho set contains a katana (39") & wakizashi (31").

The katana, or the Japanese long sword, refers to a specific type of curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the Japanese samurai. The weapon was typically worn by members of the buke warrior class paired with the wakizashi, or short sword. The two weapons together were called the daisho, and represented the social power and personal honor of the samurai.

Attributes of the Sword:

Blade: The blades of the swords are Carbon Steel with an aesthetic hamon. The blades come factory sharpened.

Scabbard: The scabbard of the swords are wooden with black cord sage-os tied around wooden saya (the scabbard). Red dragon decals marching along the scabbards chasing after the balls of wisdom.

Guard: Wheel tsuba are a steel construction.

Handle: The handles are wooden with a black cord wrap.

This set is a must have for any collector. The magnificent natural wooden saya (the scabbard), and handguard piece of each sword are intricately designed as individual works of art.
