There a lot of notebooks for sale on Ebay and I would advise asking the following questions before bidding on someone else's notebook. • Do they clean the computer before shipping it? Laptops get dirty and cleaning them is a bit of a science. I use four different cleaners on every computer so they look as pristine as possible, not dirty, when you receive them. Most sellers don't care about cleaning your purchase. • Is the software up-to-date and optimized? Once again, there is a science to keeping a computer's software up-to-date and running correctly. Most home users never do software maintenance. I do all the updates and optimize the system with maintenance utilities including Diskwarrior and Applejack. Your computer will run like new right out of the box. • How are they going to pack your computer? Lots of things sold on Ebay can be poorly packed by amateurs and be fine.
