Steiff or HERMANN Vintage Mohair Dralon SQUIRREL no ID

Vintage STEIFF or HERMANN Mohair & Dralon SQUIRREL - 17 cm (6 3/4 inches)

This cute little squirrel I cannot identify.  He may be a Hermann rather than a Steiff.  There is no squirrel in the Sortiments book that resembles this squirrel!  I would date him in the 1960's.

Squirrel is one of a newly received estate lot of vintage Steiff and other animals that I'll be listing over the coming weeks!  Check back often!

Squirrel is made from lovely short light brown shaded mohair on his back and head, and short dralon on his tummy and long dralon plush on his tall tail.  He has a black stitched nose and dark eyes and a very sweet face. His height measurement including his ears is about 17 cm or 6 3/4 inches.  He is unjointed, but his head swivels.  He is in the begging position.  His ears are lined with felt which is thinning.  He is in good clean vintage condition with no missing fur. Sadly, he is missing his ID.  If you know any more info, please email me!  

Squirrel would be a great addition to your vintage collection or would make a wonderful gift for a collector.
