Rare~The Devons~It's All Over Now Baby Blue~Listen!

Here we have one of Gary Usher's studio creations- The Devons. Even though Gary Usher was the true king of Surf and Hot Rod Music, he was also an obvious fan of Folk Rock music, most certainly Bob Dylan. The list would be quite long of the artists who covered the Bob Dylan track "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue", and this is one of the better covers of the song from some of the most unlikeliest of characters. These Folk tracks are just 2 cuts out of only three records released with the group entitled as The Devons- all others being Surf or Hot-Rod related. The flip, "Are You Really Real", is written by Gary Usher and is another great 12-string Folk Rock song. The lead singer is obviously Dick Girard (Lead singer of The Hondells and many other Gary Usher studio produced fake groups) and features Gary Usher himself on the 12 string and who knows who else- perhaps Dick Burns possibly.  I am not sure if anyone, who is still alive today, knows for sure about the makeup of this studio band. So, it is a rare couple of tracks indeed!
