This is a Bausch & Lomb Tessar Series 1c 16" f4.5 lens (~406mm) with a massive image circle of 26" (!) which is
just enough for 16x20 at infinity (and it would make a fine portrait lens), or 11x14 or anything smaller. This is a very difficult to find lens, and is in fairly good shape. The aperture is smooth and dry, and goes from f4.5-32. The glass is in good shape, although there is some spotting in the coating of one of the internal elements, and a small group of scratches on the rear element (which you can see in the photo below). An extremely fast lens (especially with this sort of coverage) with with more image circle than you can shake a stick at, and a fairly compact piece of glass. This would be an
amazing lens for portraiture, and the depth of field is extremely thin at a distance, and gets even narrower close-up. The front threads measure 102mm across, and the lens stands 100mm high. An excellent lens for anyone who wants to shoot ULF or otherwise needs massive movements or coverage. Comes with mounting flange.

Please ask any questions
well in advance of the auction closing, I have a hard time getting to all questions that are posted in the last few hours of bidding. I try to ship all items as quickly as possible, but it sometimes takes me up to a few days to ship an item, I don't do this for a living, so I'm not always able to ship as quickly as I like. If you have
any problems with an item or shipping, please let me know
before leaving feedback or filing a dispute. I'm a reasonable fellow, and I use this stuff as well sell it, so I understand the gear.
