Griffith's early career was as a monologist, delivering long stories such as What it Was, Was Football, which is told from the point of view of a rural backwoodsman trying to figure out what was going on in a football game. Released as a single in 1953, the monologue was a hit for Griffith, reaching number 9 on the charts in 1954.

Item Condition

This item was found in a house we purchased. Along with several others ( see my other auctions). 45 record has minimal wear and scratches. No visible ring on label. Record is from 1972.

Warranty

All my record auctions come with a warranty on the item. If you receive it and it does not work, buyer pays return shipping and I will refund you your money for the disc. Please let me know prior to shipping back. Buyer has 5 days after confirmed delivery date to let me know about non-working items. This is my guarantee to you.

This is just to verify payment and shipping. If you are not paying through PayPal let me know prior to bidding for authorization, or payment might not be accepted. No waiting on shipping and never any handling fees with me..straight shipping cost.

Shipping: I always ship next business day after payment is made. Records will be sent USPS first class mail or media mail unless multiple items are purchased and different shipping arrangements will be made. I package items very well. Insurance is highly recommended(because I can not guarantee postal service fragile handling) but optional. After winning bid please email me before payment is made if you would like insurance and I will add it to your invoice. I will ship to the Continental U.S ( Excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
