Movie description
David Sinclair (Alan Boyce) is a healthy, popular high school student. He has a caring girlfriend, a gift for both classical and contemporary music, and a loving family. Then one night, he takes his own life outside the biggest party of the year. The tragedy tears apart David's friends and family--not only are these loved ones bereaved, but they also profoundly puzzled by David's fateful choice. The individual most upset by the tragedy is David's best friend Chris (Keanu Reeves), a troubled near-alcoholic who already leads a reckless life. David's death, some worry, might be the incident that finally pushes Chris over the edge. One of Reeve's first starring roles, PERMANENT RECORD is a sensitive, powerful exploration of teen suicide and the devastating effect it has on those left behind.

Joe Strummer, the score composer for "Permanent Record," was formerly a member of the 1970's-80's punk rock band The Clash. Lou Reed, a punk pioneer, appears briefly as himself in the film.

This DVD is not, by any means, in great condition. It was a previous rental. The case has 4 stickers /some partially ripped/ on it and a small tear on the back. The disc has a left over sticker on it, also has lots of scratches on it. I've watched that movie only once and remember it playing fine. Very hard to find DVD, out of print, and very expensive to buy. I've paid for this one $11.75 in this condition. If you're a Keanu Reeves fan and want to have it for your collection and don't mind the far from mint condition, here is your chance to own it for cheap.
