Due to continuing physical and health problems, I am no longer able to manage my brick and mortar pond business. I am reducing my inventory of plants and will be placing lots bargains on eBay in the coming weeks. I am no longer able to work but not eligible for disability at this time, so I am trying to generate a little income by selling my plants.

Aquatic plants not only add beauty to your pond but also help the pond in many ways. Aquatic plants can help to control the dreaded "green water", provide a spawning area for fish to lay their eggs and provide a place for baby fish to hide.

Green water is caused by algae. One of the main causes of algae is too much sunlight. Add aquatic plants to cover up to 70% of the pond's surface. This shades the water which will help to control the algae that causes green water. Plants that are not potted in soil and float freely in the water will pull the nutrients from the water that would otherwise feed algae. Many shallow water (bog) plants do not need to be potted in soil. They can be placed between crevices in the rocks at the pond's edge and/or freely floated in the pond's water. With their roots in the water, the plants will pull nitrates (fertilizer) from the water that would otherwise feed algae.

Aquatic plants also provide a place for fish to spawn and lay their eggs. Once the eggs hatch, the baby fish hide in the plants increasing their chance of survival from predators. The baby fish also nibble on the micro-organisms that attach to aquatic plants.

TERMS OF SALE:

* Save on Shipping/Handling by winning more than one of these auctions. $3.00 will be added to the S/H of each additional plant auction paid for and shipped at the same time. (Additional auctions must end within 5 days of the first auction won)

* Contact must be made within 2 days and payment received within 7 days of the end of auction or item will be relisted and a NPB alert will be filed against you.

* If payment is received by 5pm (Central) on Friday, your order shoud be shipped the following Tuesday. All plants are freshly dug, cleaned and treated just before shipping. They are pulled by the order in which payment is received. Sometimes, due to a large amount of orders, holidays and/or health issues, your order could be bumped to the following week's shipment.

* Plants are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation normally on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays).

* Plant(s) are alive and healthy when shipped. I package the plant(s) very carefully, but cannot be responsible for damage due to carrier mishandling or improper planting. There is always a slight chance that damage during shipping can occur. If you are not willing to accept this chance, please do not bid.

* WE STRIVE FOR 5 STAR SERVICE! Please keep in mind when leaving your rating for S/H time that this is a plant auction and plants are only shipped at the first of the week so that they will reach you before the weekend. Shipping and handling time is dependant on when the auction ends and is paid for. Plants are pulled and shipped in the order in which they are paid. If there is a problem with your purchase, please contact me before leaving feedback.
