Early Mitchels Tonering Mate. Designed to be used with Archtop tonerings (Pre Wars in particular) to make the archtop a Flathead. Allows you to keep the old brass in the banjo but make it a flat head for more volume and projection. Raises the banjo head about the thickness of a business card. Ring easily fits into a pre war archtop tonering.

New versions are LIGHTER with half circle divots milled around the beveled rim. This is an earlier, heavier version. This originally cost $350.
