Movie description
Arthur Wontner makes his third appearance as notorious detective Sherlock Holmes in this action-packed murder-mystery. When an escaped killer embarks on a ruthless quest to track down a missing treasure, as well as the man who cheated him out of it, he ends up on the doorstep of Mary Morston. Terrified, Mary turns to the cunning detective, who must penetrate the menacing carnival underworld in order to crack the case and return Mary to a life of safety and comfort. An impressively faithful adaptation of the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story, THE SIGN OF FOUR is also heralded for its violent action sequences.
