The HTS8100/37 Ambisound DVD Home Theater System from Philips is a versatile

theater. The incorporated Ambisound Surround sound system uses an powerful

sound from fewer speakers. The HTS8100/37 features Faroudja DCDi
(Directional Correlation De-interlacing) a video processing technology that
gives you sharp high quality videos on your progressive scan TV and host of
others features. Offering support for many audio and video formats including
MP3, WMA, MPEG, DivX, and JPEG and more the HTS8100/37 Ambisound DVD Home
Theater System lets you experience the movie like you would in a theater!
2.1-channel soundbar: The HTS-8100 Home Theater System features a built-in
DVD player and soundbar, with 6.5” long throw woofer. You get surround sound
effects out of a stylish piano black system that is wall-mountable with your
flat-screen television.
1080p upconversion player: The DVD player upconverts your standard DVDs to a
near high-definition quality. When hooked up to an HD TV, you’ll get more
lines of resolution with a crisper video image.
DTS and Dolby Digital: Both DTS and Dolby Digital are sound decodings that
take a source with six audio channels, and disperse them to separate
speakers in a surround system. With Philips’ Ambisound feature, you get a
5.1 feel from 2.1 speakers primed to deliver a more powerful acoustic
experience. Dolby Pro Logic II takes a stereo sound source, and delivers a
5.1-like punch.
Faroudja DCDi: This advanced video processing technology smooths the jagged
edges that can appear when video is upconverted, especially with moving
images. You'll enjoy sharper video and more natural-looking action scenes.
HDMI output: With an HDMI output, you’ll only need one cable: the one that
goes straight into your HD TV. You also get a component video output,
composite output, and TV in.
Extra connectivity: The included dock connector allows you to listen to your
iPod through the HTS-8100’s speakers. You also get an MP3 line-in and a USB
input…letting you listen to music, view JPEG images, or watch video from a
variety of sources, from home video cameras to laptops to USB flash drives.
DivX playback: You’ll enjoy DVDs burned in the DivX compressed video format,
downloaded off the Internet. It is compatible with DivX 3.11, 4.x, 5.x, 6.0,
and Ultra. You can also watch MPEG1 and MPEG2 video files, and listen to MP3
and WMA audio files.

- Scratch and Dents: Some items are returned with visible wear and tear. We makes every effort to ensure that our reconditioned merchandise does not include 'Scratch and Dents.'
How are products renewed?
Every renewed product must pass a thorough examination. After repairing any defect and sanitizing, the product is repackaged. This service may be performed by the original manufacturer, a reputable professional outside firm by us. All products are returned to like-new or almost new condition.
Will "Refurbished" products come in different packaging?
By law, product packaging must state if an item is factory renewed. Packaging and terminology may differ from the original. Some items will arrive in a regular retail box with a sticker indicating that it's reconditioned, refurbished, or factory serviced. Some items are repackaged in a plain brown or white box. Enclosed manuals may refer to accessories (camera cases, straps, etc.) that are not included with the reconditioned product. Be sure read over the product information page for a list of included accessories.
