Matboard is great for a variety of media--pastels, chalks, painting, charcoals, pencils, etc.--as well as all of your craft projects needing a sturdy board. Great for collage and acrylics, this board won't warp! Coat it with gesso for an economical oil painting board. This is Crescent's Regular Surface Matboard with a smooth finish. These classic boards have a fine-quality surface paper that is highly fade and bleed resistant. The color is a warm white with a cream colored core. Boards are approximately 1.4 mm thick (4-ply) and are acid free. You get 10 ready to use cards, perfectly sized for ATCs, ACEOs or Sketch Cards (2-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches). They all have one thing in common--they are original art that measures 2-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards, and they are usually traded to other artists. Sketch cards are trading cards with a blank area that have hand-drawn original art on them. ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. ACEOs and Sketch Cards are usually sold. They are a rapidly growing hobby and tons of fun to collect or to make! |
