1850 English Sterling Silver
Fish Fork & Server Set...

with richly detailed pierced and engraved server ends!

Finely crafted from sterling silver, the handles feature an ornate rocaille and scroll chased design. The server ends are decorated with an amazingly detailed chased & engraved elaborate foliate decor.

Both pieces are very well marked:

Lion Standard Mark ~ Sterling .925

Anchor City Mark ~ Birmingham, England

Duty Mark ~ Queen Victoria I, 1838-1890

Date Letter ~ B, Birmingham Date Mark of 1850

Maker's Mark ~ J.G, John Gilbert of Ryland Street North, Birmingham
