FORD COUPE - Lefton Roadside America
Magnetic Billboards of Yesteryear Collection

Molded plastic with paper insert. Dated 1995. Made in the USA.
Size: 2.25" tall, 4" wide, 0.5" deep.

Condition -
New old stock - no scratches, no dents, no dings, no defects. Comes in original plastic bag with paper hanger - may have a mark from a price sticker.

The Roadside America series "Magnetic Billboards of Yesteryear" is a collection of 12 miniature billboards, replicas of actual advertisements found across America. Each magnet has a colored plastic border around a decal of the advertisement in the center and a magnet on the back. Check out the rest of my auctions to collect the entire set!

The Ford Motor Company was among the first to pioneer the automobile in the United States, and was a leader in innovations that affected the entire industry. Along with his well-known development of the moving assembly line (which cut assembly time from 12.5 hrs to less than 3), Henry Ford also instituted several labor changes. He saw that high turnover meant many hours went to training new employees, which decreased productivity. In 1914, he doubled his workers' wages to $5 a day, cut shifts to 8 hours instead of 9, and held onto a 5-day work week. Turnover decreased while productivity increased. Also, employees could now afford to purchase the cars that they spent their days assembling, which increased sales. Ford was among those companies paving the way for modern automobile manufacturing and sales.

This magnet features the 1926 Ford Model T Coupe and has a blue border. The text reads "STYLE COMFORT CONVENIENCE VALUE COUPE $520" with a Ford script logo in the background. The sepia-toned picture shows a Ford Coupe with an admiring crowd in the background. It's a classic addition to any automobilia collection!
