The Ford Motor Company was among the first to pioneer the automobile in the United States, and was a leader in innovations that affected the entire industry. Along with his well-known development of the moving assembly line (which cut assembly time from 12.5 hrs to less than 3), Henry Ford also instituted several labor changes. He saw that high turnover meant many hours went to training new employees, which decreased productivity. In 1914, he doubled his workers' wages to $5 a day, cut shifts to 8 hours instead of 9, and held onto a 5-day work week. Turnover decreased while productivity increased. Also, employees could now afford to purchase the cars that they spent their days assembling, which increased sales. Ford was among those companies paving the way for modern automobile manufacturing and sales. This magnet features the 1926 Ford Model T Coupe and has a blue border. The text reads "STYLE COMFORT CONVENIENCE VALUE COUPE $520" with a Ford script logo in the background. The sepia-toned picture shows a Ford Coupe with an admiring crowd in the background. It's a classic addition to any automobilia collection! Check Out My Other Listings - Combine Purchases You'll be Amazed at the Savings in
