Condition: Item is NOS (new old stock), in great condition, never used, never displayed, no defects, no tears.

Sausages have been around for centuries, but the actual origin of the hot dog is disputed. Many vendors used to offer white gloves to their customers to use while eating their frankfurters, since the dogs were so hot. However, many of these white gloves walked off with the customers as souvenirs. Several different vendors across the country began serving their sausages in buns to keep customers from burning their hands and the finger food caught on.

This piece is a large hot dog (see my other listings for the small matching frankfurter!). It is topped with mustard and a slice of lettuce in a soft bun. The soft sculpture makes a unique and adorable addition to any display – toss it on a couch or chair for a distinctive accent!
