The better models of BBC cue racks, like this one, only very rarely show up on eBay, so take advantage of this opportunity !    I own the simpler version of this cue rack without the coat hangers to hold my own set of antique BBC cues, and I had mine refinished - - so I can tell you first hand these racks are absolutely beautiful once the mahogany with the inlaid pattern is restored.

This model was patented in 1912, and if you compare it to a very similar one displayed in the 1923 catalog (model #31), you can see that by 1923, it had already been updated to a slightly different design, which pegs the vintage of this cue at circa 1915 to 1920.

Ebay only allows 12 pictures to be posted so I have done my best to post photos of all the important features.   You can see the great BBC label, the patent label, the fancy inlaid design, the 'spring' mechanisms that hold the cues in place, and the side-arms where the coat hangers go.   Unfortunately I have only 1 of the original 4 coat hangers, but you can easily find similar replacements.   (Here is one example I found in seconds in an internet search :  http://www.comfortmarket.com/iw170-01207r.html?utm_source=jellyfish4&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=IW170-01207R&srccode=cii_18492716&cpncode=25-12336093-2 ).   Also, the bottom support has been broken on both sides...  the same small piece broke off on both sides where the wood gets narrow... I do have both pieces and they fit back together perfectly like a puzzle, but I have chosen not to make the repair in case the new owner chooses to have this piece refinished.   Note only one side has been shown in the pictures but the other side is nearly a mirror image and is similarly broken.   There are some other signs of age besides the cracked patina of the finish (which some feel is desirable of course).  For example, there are scratches (none deep, would most likely come out if you refinish), and holes where it was clearly mounted to the wall.   I have a lot more pictures I can send you !
