BETTY GRABLE "CALL ME MISTER." Two (2) Variant Vintage Original Photographs (not signed) from 1951 film "Call Me Mister".

1). Full length shot of Betty Grable, Dan Dailey, Danny Thomas and Benay Venuta (?), during a big song and dance number.



2). 3/4 length shot of Betty Grable with Dan Dailey.



Photographs are on single weight stock; 10" x 8"; very good (minor signs of handling); 1951.

"Call Me Mister" was released in 1951, directed by Lloyd Bacon from a musical revue by Harold Rome and Arnold M. Auerbach for 20th Century-Fox. Starring: Betty Grable; Dan Dailey; Danny Thomas; Dale Robertson; Benay Venuta; Richard Boone; Jeffrey Hunter; Frank Fontaine; Bob Roberts; Lou Spencer; Art Stanley.

Provenance: from the estate of producer Alex Gordon.

Betty Grable (1916-1973), born Elizabeth Ruth Grable, December 18, 1916; died July 2, 1973, Santa Monica, California; American leading lady, star of light musicals and comedies from the 1930's on; the most famous pin-up girl of WWII; film career 1930-55: "The Gay Divorcee" 1934; "Tin Pan Alley" 1940; "Coney Island" 1943; "How to Marry a Millionaire" 1953.
