Brand new and still in the box, this is a very rare and as far as I know, impossible to find Rock-a-Buddies Rock-a-Builder rocking chair. This is a really different kind of chair because it is both furniture and a toy. It is painted primary colors, comes with wooden tools, a hammer, screwdriver and (I believe), a wrench, large, fat wood screws and pegs and pieces of finished, painted wood that line up to the three areas painted on the back of the chair. The child can improve their dexterity and practice color & shape matching by screwing on and taking off these pieces with their tools. It will keep them busy for at least short time spans. It has a matching cloth tool belt that attaches to the side of the chair with velcro to hold all the pieces. The chair in the photos is not the chair we are selling; the listed chair is unassembled and still in it's original box. It's a long story but we ended up with two. At any rate, it is packed exactly as it arrived. Nothing but paperwork has been removed. It was even still taped shut until recently, but I had to open it because I didn't remember what was in that particular box. With the holidays approaching, this would make a wonderful and very different kind of gift for a boy or a girl. It is large and quite solid compared to most rockers you generally find made for children, and it would comfortably seat a kid up to about 60 lbs./6-7 yrs. (will double check the age/weight limit & update if needed). This is meant to be a keepsake chair/toy because there is a specific place on the bottom of the seat of the chair to permanently write the child's name, the date it was given and the name of the gift giver.
Although I didn't list it as a choice, I would welcome local pick-up (Southern California). Buyer should wait for an invoice before sending payment through.
If anyone would like additional photos, such as some of the actual chair in the box (remember, not assembled), please don't hesitate to ask.
