Beautiful decorated full leather bound cover, it is loose from the spine, however the binding is still mostly tight, also the first 2 pages, anatomical colour engravings, as pictured, are loose and have tattered edges and the first plain page is creased, the rest of the pages are excellent for age, hardly an age spot. ... pp. 1142 and 24 (Medical Dictionary or Glossary and Prescription Register) (25cm x 17cm x and 9cms thick). 'Embellished and Illustrated by numerous Plates of a superb character, coloured after nature, and other fine b&w Engravings'. With marbled edges, the leather is rubbed on the edges/corners and lightly on the cover, this could be polished to improve, overall it's a good copy, and internally generally very good for age.
