This item is an old black americana piece. It is a black boy holding a piece of watermelon that is attached to a string. When you pull the string the watermelon goes up to his mouth. The piece is a lapel pin. This item came from a very old estate auction. It is in excellent condition and works. The boy measures approximately 2" tall and 1" wide. There is a spring in his back that enables the movement. I believe the boy is made of some type of resin and the watermelon is made of tin. You can be assured this is an original piece.
