The Wildlife Trust Of Bangladesh developed and co-produced this one-hour, high-def, TV documentary special on the plight of the hoolocks in Bangladesh, giving the viewing audience a sense of awareness and urgency of the dire situation facing the hoolocks. It is also hoped that this program will generate a renewed interest in conservation efforts, helping to bring this species back from the brink of oblivion in Bangladesh. DR. ELLIOTT HAIMOFF served as the host and narrator for this program. He is a world-renowned pioneer in wildlife biology, and has been to Bangladesh twice to study and film the plight of the hoolocks there. Dr. Haimoff is the first scientist ever to use videotape analysis in the study of gibbon behavior back in 1975, and he has written over 35 journal articles on gibbon behavior, ecology, and evolution.
