This exquisite lidded Raku art vase is 10 7/8-inches high overall, and the vase alone is 5 7/8-inches high and 6 1/2-inches wide. The semi-gloss copper glaze features exceptional metallic flashing and lots of variegation in color with bright, vivid hues of turquoise, blue, gunmetal, violet, magenta, green, gold and copper. Some of the creations feature decorative splashes of marbleized gloss gold and copper, and some also have varying surface textures.

Signed and dated by the artist. Total satisfaction with all purchases is our ultimate goal.

Leland Hall

Leland has been working with clay for close to 30-years, and his work has been shown in galleries across the United States, and is currently being internationally collected.

Leland is inspired by the ancient pottery traditions of the Japanese Raku masters, his Native American ancestors, and living amid the majestic Cascade Mountains of Central Oregon.

Raku Information

Raku ware is pulled from the kiln red hot and subjected to rapid cooling and smoking in an oxygen starved atmosphere, resulting in sometimes unpredictable and usually spectacular chemical changes in the glaze. Raku ware is porous and not suitable for use with food or liquid!

All pieces are handmade using a potter's wheel or slab roller. The glazes and clay are made by the artist using raw materials.

Since working with galleries for quite a few years, we have developed a pretty good eye for the retail value of each piece. We try to keep our ebay starting bid at approximately 50% of our estimated gallery price; a fantastic savings for the avid collector.
